One of the biggest issues when using a flattening sled is the dust that it expels and the mess it makes. This dust collection setup is designed to work with my flattening sled and will require you to drill one hole, 3/8” in diameter, 1 3/4” up from the end and 3/4” in from the edge and screw in the provided threaded insert. With this setup and my standard shop vac I was able to collect 95% of the dust expelled while using my router. This comes with a 2” dust broom that can be trimmed down to your desired length as needed.
